The Detox Plan 2011

Here are the basic meal plan guidelines we will follow for the next seven days. I will publish the actual meal plan, our comments and the results at the end of the week.

Monday:  A Fruit only day: melon, oranges, pears, berries

Tuesday: A Vegetable day: a variety of steamed or stir fried vegetables plus one potato (bolied or jacket)

Wednesday: A Fruit & Vegetable day:  No potatoes & no bananas! Salad with tsp of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Thursday: A Bananas & Milk day: a maximum of 8 bananas and 3 glasses of skimmed milk.

Friday: A Protein & Tomatoes day:  eat 6 – 8 fresh tomatoes, a portion of grilled or baked fish or meat. Omega 3 fish such as tuna

Saturday: A Protein & Vegetable day: Meat or fish with stir fried vegetables or salad

Sunday: A fruit, Vegetables & Juice day: A fruit breakfast, salads, vegetable juices.

NOTES:  NO alcohol nor caffeine can be consumed during the Detox period. 8 – 10 glasses of water should be drunk each day.

The Wonder Soup* that is rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins can be consumed, in unlimited quantities, every day of the Detox period.

The Wonder Soup* Recipe:

64oz water, 6 large onions,  2 green peepers, 3 large tomatoes, 1 cabbage, 1 bunch celery, herbs & seasoning to taste.

Bring all the ingredients to boil and simmer for 45minutes.

    I wanted to say good luck to you and your husband – me and mine are on the same mission! We started weightwatchers a week ago and Im already 4 kilos down – woo hoo!

    I also wanted to let you know that we tried the detox you are doing ( I laughed when I saw it! ) and lasted only two days, it was hell!! I hope you get on better with it than I did! xx
